
Here is the preliminary concept for Elementary control. As far back as the Super Nintendo, and maybe an old Sega system, there have been controls for navigation, shoulder triggers, and at least four buttons. N64 has enough to have a classic jump command, but this method is worth a try. I think it would be functional because in the Elementary world it may not be as critical to run and jump precisely as, say, Donkey Kong Country. The goal is to make the focus on problem solving, like the puzzles of a Zelda dungeon. This button setup is currently universal on Nintendo, Playstation, and Xbox systems, with buttons to spare.
